What does #10 can and #2.5 can mean? And what is the difference?

#10 and #2.5 are the units in which the cans are measured to distinguish between the larger #10 can or the smaller #2.5 can. You can purchase your dehydrated foods in both size cans. To give a rough idea how large each can is, the #10 can is about 1 gallon. Most restaurants use this size can for canned fruits and vegetables. A #2.5 can are about 1 quart. This size can is roughly the size of canned foods in your local grocery store.

What is the shelf life of dehydrated foods and food storage?

As reported by professors in the Department of Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Science at Brigham Young University, food properly canned and stored can last up to 30 years. Foods such as wheats, grains, rice, and corn have an estimated shelf life of 30 years more while beans, dehydrated vegetables, dehydrated fruits, and pastas have a shelf life of up to 30 years. The only exception to this time frame would be powdered milks or milk substitutes which have a shelf life of up to 20 years.

How is shipping calculated?

FREE SHIPPING for all orders over $25 shipped by UPS Ground.

If your cart is less than $25 at the time of checkout you will be charged $8.95 flat rate shipping for UPS Ground.

Any other shipping method is calculated by the total weight of your shopping cart and the destination zip code at the time of checkout. While filling out the Shipping Information page of the order form, you may hit the "Update" button which will give you the calculated cost of shipping. (In order for this to work properly and give you the information you must make sure the destination zip code and address is complete)

How is my order shipped?

We want you to receive your order sooner rather than later and at the best rate possible. The majority of orders will be shipped using UPS Ground and we will occasionally ship orders via FedEx Ground.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to recent events in the world and the high demand for dehydrated foods, please allow up to 1 - 2 weeks for your order to be processed and shipped.  We do appreicate your business and thank you for your patience as we fulfill your order.

What if I need to cancel my order?

If you decide to cancel your order, please contact us at 866-797-8318 and we will give you the proper instructions of returning your items. Upon receipt of the returned items there will be a 20% restocking fee.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. We use PayPal to fulfill these transactions and for that reason at the time of checkout you also may use your personal PayPal account to purchase your items.

When is my credit card charged?

Your credit card will be charged immediately upon our system receiving your order.
